Beter Benutten Webinar - Slimmer Werken (Leeuwarden Vrij-Baan)
In dit webinar wordt nader ingegaan op de uitgangspunten en aanpak bij het realiseren van een bijdrage aan spitsmijding in en rond Leeuwarden, zoals gehanteerd door The Social Innovation Foundation. De nadruk in de toegepaste werkwijze ligt op het aanjagen van ‘slimmer’ ofwel plaats- en tijd onafhankelijk werken.

Tijdens het webinar wordt, naast de succes elementen, tevens aandacht besteed aan de struikelblokken en uitdagingen die we onderweg zijn tegengekomen en die nog voor ons liggen.

Van houdbaarheid naar ontstaanbaarheid
Bestaande systemen en structuren dienen ons niet langer zoals ze dat ooit deden. We weten wel wat niet meer goed werkt, maar we hebben nog geen duidelijke alternatieven of oplossingen voorhanden. Door de crises zijn bovendien sociaal- maatschappelijke vraagstukken meer expliciet gemaakt. Die zijn complex en niet eenzijdig oplosbaar. Radicale vernieuwing is als gevolg daarvan gaande. Dit doet een appèl op ons creatieve en innovatieve vermogen, onze durf, moed en bereidheid om te experimenteren, te onderzoeken, en te laten ontstaan.
Is jouw organisatie eigenlijk wel bezig met waar ze mee bezig zou moeten zijn? In hoeverre dringen de transities in maatschappij en organisaties door tot HRM? Overzie jij het speelveld van sociale innovatie? Is er binnen jouw organisatie ruimte voor het verleggen van grenzen? Sta met ons stil bij de kansen die dit tijdsgewricht biedt en pak de ruimte om te ontdekken waar jouw uitdagingen liggen op het gebied van sociale innovatie. Impressie Noorderlinkdagen 2014
During the IABR–2014–URBAN BY NATURE, the first pod peanut stage started off this evening. The connection between nature and architecture investigated and unravelled on the basis of two narratives: ‘Architecture Follows Nature’ and ‘Nature Meets Architecture’.
Ilaria Mazzoleni (IMStudios, Milan/Los Angeles) picked up the first theme. In her book, recently published, Architecture Follows Nature: Biomimetic Principles for Innovative Design (CRC Press), innovative solutions are found for building envelopes by the imitation of tactics from the animal kingdom (biomimesis).
Huib van Zeijl en Daniëlle Segers (Équipe architects, Amsterdam) addressed the theme ‘Nature Meets Architecture’. Their extension for the Helvoirt Groenprojecten ‘Proyecto Roble’ has been, amongst others, winner of the BNA Building of the Year Award (2013) as well as the ARC12 Price of Architecture (2012). Manou Huijbregts (HP architecten, Rotterdam) was the moderator of this evening.

A very special and sustainable project, embedded in the environmental context and built in an innovative collaboration. ‘Green’ (ecological) energy is generated locally, and during the entire project, and lots of thinking has gone into how to dismantable buildings and accountably use materials. Artifical light is practically redundant and the bio-rhythm of people is the central issue.

Magic Impact Days program
A sharing and meaningful workshop today about values of The Hub Rotterdam in cooperation with Kürt Willems. This session was supporting the Magic Impact Days program and the research Kürt did at The Hub .
Leading the DE BAAK dialogue table
'De Week van de Ondernemer' organized in Groningen on June 4th and 5th. Themes: finance, international, innovation and staff. TSIF was leading the dialogue table rounds today on social innovation for De Baak. De Baak Business Academy is a partner of this event. This 'Week of the Entrepreneur' is the biggest entrepreneurial event in the Netherlands. The 2014 program was entirely devoted to 'Growth'. See link event and link to De Baak website.
'SOCIAL INNOVATION DAY' WITH SAMEEN
TSIF organized the program "social innovation in one day' for SAMEEN. An exiting program on a different and refreshing new look at added value and the powerful possibilities of social innovation. Sameen, among other companies, is helping energy cooperatives and individuals in achieving energy-transition related goals. Currently many Sameen members from various disciplines are employed by companies as Enexis, INRG, VEC and TexelEnergie. They are also involved in major projects such as I-Balance and small projects for SMEs and individuals. Contact: Peter Everts.
A TASTE OF SOCIAL INNOVATION - space to play for change
MINI PRESSURE COOKER
Students of the Rotterdam University organized and performed a mini pressure cooker around the MOVABLE^LAB ROTTERDAM initiative. They did a great job challenging items related to their study and minor: social marketing and social entrepreneurship. Great to reflect with them upon new leadership, empowerment, and their view on society. Contact: Tony van Acquoy
